The legacy of the Khmer Rouge

Posted on January 15, 2013      by admin

Cambodia is a great country with amazing sights and wonderful people. However, it is important to remember it’s recent bloody history involving the Khmer Rouge and the atrocities perpetrated by them. This history is still very much part of the fabric of the society there since people from both sides of the conflict are still living. It is important to remember this history so as to learn from it and never allow it to happen again.

This is a tribute to the victims of the Khmer Rouge and the survivors still coping with the after effects. The bones in the photographs are from some of the more than a million victims of the regime. I hope that these images are evocative enough to encourage the readers of this blog to find out more about the history of the Khmer Rouge.
