I have been living in Sydney for 8 years now and I have visited the Blue Mountains a number of times, but this is the first time that I have actually taken photographs of the Three Sisters rock formation. I suppose proximity breeds a certain amount of apathy sometimes. I’m glad that I had a chance to photograph the Three Sisters this time though as it was a gorgeous and cold sunset. The full moon was up as well, and I intended to come back later to photograph the Three Sisters under moonlight, but it didn’t quite work out.
I liked the golden light playing off of the gum trees and through the leaves. Also the blue haze the Blue Mountains are famous for was quite apparent over the valley below. Winter light is just so nice and this was certainly no exception.
