Photo of the week
Today is the release of the Sydney’s Ferry Future document which was partially written by me and includes quite a few of my photographs. The document itself sets out the strategy for ferries in Sydney and has been a work that my friend Will and I have been working on for months with the help of a number of people. For me it has been great to see something that I have spent so long actually make it into the public domain, and not only include my writing, but also include a number of my photographs.
As part of my work I was asked to go out and photograph Harbour City Ferry employees in their new uniforms and the staff interacting with passengers. I was also asked to photograph the new wayfinding signs and digital displays to showcase the new designs. Overall I was quite happy with the results even though I was constrained due to very short deadlines. Below are bigger versions of the photographs that were published in the final document which can been seen on the Transport for New South Wales website: http://www.transport.nsw.gov.au/publications-reports/sydneys-ferry-future.
The strategy got positively mentioned in the major newspapers as well:
